Our library is a bright, cheerful, resource room which has been upgraded with a white board, screen and projector to make it a more functional multi-purpose space.

Our school library has over 10,000 volumes and is open to all students from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm (Tues/Wed) for research and leisure reading. Grades K-9 are scheduled one block a week for library time where they learn library skills and are introduced to a variety of different authors. Books may be borrowed for two weeks and are limited to two per student. A replacement cost will be charged for lost or damaged items.

“Nothing excites me more than to introduce books to children.  To assist in enhancing their reading skills and to instill in them a love of reading & learning for fun.”

The popularity of books such as Manga, "I Survived...", biographies, cooking, drawing, etc. is evidenced by the frequency of being on loan.  To encourage reading in a variety of subject matter I also run the Scholastic Reading Club.  Our library is still run on a self-serve honor system, encouraging honesty and integrity. It's a joy to serve at Cornerstone as the Librarian. Mrs. Nickel
