Mrs. Jan Fung has been a teacher for twenty-nine years, working in a variety of capacities with students and parents. Mrs. Fung began her career in the primary grades, specializing in Kindergarten. She transitioned to homeschooling when the time arrived to put her first child into school and she realized she was fully equipped to do this job herself. Mrs. Fung proceeded to homeschool all her children through to graduation. Upon returning to her career, she moved into a supporting role for other homeschooling families, working with students from Kindergarten through grade nine with excellent results. She taught various face-to-face classes during this time, exploring primary and intermediate writing workshops, and directing the humanities program for grades seven through nine.
Mrs. Fung is an avid reader, and a lifelong learner who tends to get lost in her studies as she prepares her weekly lessons. She also enjoys dabbling in music, exploring various instruments but focusing mainly on voice. Mrs. Fung is one of three backing vocalists for a local, professional musician/composer, and she enjoys participating in concerts and evenings of sung prayer.
